Spike tooth drag to 3pt.

I'm looking for some ideas on converting a regular spike tooth drag and making it so I can lift it up for working tight spots with the 3pt. Any Ideas will be great....Craig

I remember seeing a setup where they used a three-point boom pole and chains to pick up the rear edge of a set of harrows. I can't remember exactly how it was configured, and don't remember if the evener pole cleared the ground when it was lifted. I've never had the need to try it.

Yea I've seen that, looked simple. Short chains from the evener each side to the edge of the boom pole three point bar, and a chain from the boom pole down to the back of the harrow section. Probably 2 chains, one to each corner, down in back.

Should work slick.

check this you tube video out, it is of a cub farmall pulling a spike harrow, but using the lift system of the cub to raise and lower the harrow.

I too want a 3pt hitch spike harrow

I have an 8 ft drag harrow, after seeing this video I just hooked my harrow to the tractor hitch and lifted it with my boom pole,

it works fine, just as if were a 3pt hitch harrow.
maybe not the same as having a 3pt hitch harrow, but almost as good and no work involved in me building one.

had a picture somewhere of the harrow attached to my tractor but cannot find it.
