Wire wheel bearings for JD 290 check row planter

Am restoring Jd model 290 checkrow planter. I have the checkwire spool but do not have the bearings that hold the spool in place. One is a
fork-like piece with a cotter pin through it; the other is an inner and outer where the chain sprocket fits in between.
I would like to find these parts.. ( currently I am holding the reel in place with two pieces of plywood painted jd green!) hardly anyone notices!!
There is also an "evener " mechanism the is located below the reel the helps wrap the wire on evenly.
Does anyone have such parts?

I think I corresponded with you once before....I have a case D.C. And sc..
Where are you at and you think you have these parts ......?.

this is what is on mine, I do not think I have the wire holder sorry

The evener I really could do without...it would be just for looks. The "holders" for the reel is what I need. As I said I am using green painted plywood bearings now and hardly anyone notices. It would just make it more complete My planter was my fathers. A 1948. It is completely restored. Have shown it at local county fair behind my restored 1942 CASE SC.

Have you ever gone the the Half century of Progress vintage Farm Progress Show at Rantoul IllinoisReally a big show of vintage machinery and working field demos. google vintage ....... see the website. See the history. Supposedly this planter we go there next year in August.
Good too correspond with you.

I am in western Ohio and I think I would have everything you are needing except for a good real. Everything is setting on several planters out in the weeds that I would have trouble walking in as of now.

I have never been to that show,,, sounds like Leroy is much closer and can fix you up,,, I pull mine most times with my 200B

Greenfrog, If you are interested in my parts first thing to do is go to John Deere's parts lookup site and print out the pages with the parts you need and identify them with the part number for each and every part you are needing and then send me a copy of those parts pages so we both know exactly what parts you are looking for. There might be different styles of parts depending on age of planter. I actually have 4 of those planters I bought as parts with the intension of rebuilding the 4 into 3 good units that would sell in my area but I would have been taking the check parts off any way as they would not have been wanted. Don't think I will ever get it done tho due to health and other factors. Opened my email. Leroy

Thanks to all for replying. I found the parts. As I reread I really meant to say wire REEL instead of wheel....oh well
Thanks to case nutty for the parts.
