Utf grain cart pto shaft

We bought an older 400 Utf grain cart. It has a 540 shaft but almost all I saw on line had 1000rpm. This is an old model the gear box is gone and the upright auger is now hydraulic and the pto is direct driving the cross auger
Should this have a 1000 rpm shaft?

I don't hardly think so. I imagine you can get all the speed you need on the auger with the 540 RPM PTO.

Ok we did put it on or 1586 with 100rpm shaft and seem to have better luck running its. We are running half throttle just to be safe
