New Idea 327 Husking Bed

The rubber rolls in my husking bed need to have the bottom 5 inches( where the ears drop into the elevator) replaced. They are worn down and corn hangs by the husk plugging the bed.
I found a source for the rubber discs but it looks like a major project to remove the rubber rolls from the husking bed. Any advice or "tricks of the trade" would be appreciated.
It appears from the manual that the husking bed should be removed from the picker and the elevator also separated from the husking bed. Is there a way to remove the rubber rolls without doing all of this?
Thanks.

I know what you mean, long ago our picker had the same issue, never got fixed before the picker went bye-bye. Dumb suggestion... if you have the right diameter rubber is there any chance the pieces could be sliced and glued? Maybe cut at a long angle to give more area for gluing? Or banded with smaller diameter bands?

I'm not familiar with the 327, but I replaced the husking rolls on my 323. Not that difficult. Removed the end brackets and lifted out. Old equipment supplier in PA had the rolls. Good luck.
