Long 3pt backhoe

I have an old Long 3pt backhoe. The pump was shot so I run it off the tractor hydraulics. This works great. The problem is that I'm stuck using it on old open center tractors. Is there a way to convert or use the backhoe on more modern closed center tractors?

Just hook it up. Will work fine. Most modern tractors will have big enough oil cooler to handle it.

I've tried it and it doesn't work on cc tractors. Some reason the backhoe won't signal the cc hyd pump to ramp up pressure. The hoe moves just very slowly.

You need a closed center control valve on the hoe.

So your saying that the backhoe doesn't have a convertible valve?
