HELP HELP! Need parts for plow

I bought the plow as I said in another post and believe it's a #8. I did not realize the rear moldboard was cracked. I badly need to find some moldboard bolts and maybe a moldboard. The bolts are not what I know of as plow bolts. These have a notch that a little tab on the bolt sits in to keep it from turning. I need several of these. So can anyone ID these parts any more for me and where I might find some parts for the plow.

That bolt with the tab is still a plow bolt- just a different style. Oval shaped head? Check at a dealer or farm store.

I think I have some bolts. Post a picture of the bolt. thread dia. & length of bolt. Number 7 plow bolt ??

Was common bolt but years ago to get 2 or 3 bolts I had to buy a box of a hundred from Deere dealer. Think I have just about all of them left.

I will check and see what I have. How many do you need ? If you get a new moldboard or share they will use a # 3 plow bolt, which should be available locally.

Sometimes it is easier and Cheaper to change the entire plow Bottoms for more modern "High Speed Bottoms" that use readily available "Throw away Shares"..

If you cannot find the bolts from the others that deal in the parts post back and I will hunt to see if I can find them.

If it was me, I would weld the cracked piece in. And it looks like you could also carefully weld to build up the wear pockets. Careful because the material is so thin. Because you aren't going to find a replacement moldboard easily. That is an OLD moldboard that originates from P&O prior to IH buying them in 1919. For some reason I stumble across the 462 share often but it looks like you don't need shares too badly. You can build a new landside, if you need one. And it looks like you're missing a cast landside heel. Once again, you could make one from steel, or make an entirely new landside with the heel built in. "Tyler the Plow Guy" has those #7 bucket tooth plow bolts also.

Earl,

I would be interested in buying the whole box of bolts you have left if you want to sell them. Currently restoring a Cockshutt plow and cannot find any of those bolts.

just bought some #7-1 1/4" from Otter Sales and Services in Burlington, WI #262-763-3563 they seemed to be able to get them from some supplier. they charged me less than a buck a bolt
