Scissors lift for 3 point . Any Good

Anybody ever use one of these with a hay spike? Do they work well? Thanks

I picked up a decently made homemade one at an auction several years ago. Works good. I have seen posters on this site suggest using a hydraulic top link with these. it would help but is not necessary. Mine is like a post hole digger, its almost a 2 man job to hook up. As I said mine is homemade, maybe the store bought ones are much lighter. You want some weights hanging off the front of your tractor for sure. Lots cheaper than buying a FEL! Other than the wrestling match about attaching mine, I don't know why I don't see more of them, they are fairly scarce around here.

Really can't use a hyd top link at all, they have their own cylinder as part of the scissors action. As you say hooks up like a post hole digger, and is a bit of effort to mount.

Works well tho. Mine came through Hay Doctor, don't know if he is still around this site, years ago.
