John Deere 7200 semi mount 4 bottom plow

Hi everyone,
I bought this plow a few years ago and it was all rebuilt. It's a very heavy plow and it works well in land with minimal grass and weeds but not if there's a lot of grass or weeds or left over combine chaff if the field. It tends to plug up much more then any other plow I've used. I think the plow is going in too deep (about 12"deep) and it's causing the "trash" to go over the trash boards. No matter what I try I can't seem to get it to adjust to be about 7 or 8 inches deep. I think that would solve the problem. Anyone ever use this plow or one like it? The coulters should also be cutting better but they seem to slide out of adjustment quickly and I think this might also be a cause of the plow getting plugged up easily in areas with a lot of grass etc. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

You need to get some hydraulic cylinder stop collars to put on the cylinder that lifts the rear of the plow. You probably have a 16 or 18 inch plow so it should plow 8 or 9 inches deep. Put on enough collars to make it plow that deep and adjust the front using the tractor lift arms.
