Was looking at a Stackliner 1010 bale wagon. My dad used to have I believe a Hayliner 1010, are they the same? Im looking for something that can unload single bales. We used to do that with the one we had.

if you put NH balewagons or similar into your search, I think their site breaks down what each of the bale wagons will and won't do

The way I remember, "Hayliner" was New Holland's line of BALERS.

"Stackliner" was the automatic bale wagons.

That is what I thought. I bet it did say Stackliner. I remember my uncle had New Holland baler and that had Hayliner.

As a NH 1010 owner and user, I would check several things. 1)hydraulic leaks, 2)loose or worn chains and sprockets, 3) welding repairs. I would not buy one that the owner could not or would not demonstrate single unloading and stack unloading, nor would I buy one that did not include an owners manual. The instruction for single unloading is contained two separate paragraphs about 10 pages apart from each other.

I have a 1010, it is supposed to single bale unload, and did in the past, but I have never bothered to put the chain back on or try to use it that way. Mine has some hydraulic leaks, lines that need replaced, it is well used, but works well, as long as the bales are the right length and tension.

We had some times that there was a light rain or heavy dew and the bales wouldnt feed in properly. That gets to be a bit of a pain.

I have one with single bale unload. I like it . As said check out chains and such . I do a little over 3000 bales a year , this was my second year with it . As far as parts the sprockets and bearings etc. are mostly off the shelf stuff , don't go to new Holland . One sprocket they wanted 98 bucks for I had shipped to my house for 10 bucks total.

To add another comment, as bad as my back is these days, I couldn't put up small square bales without one. I bale a 34", 65# bale, usually just Brome, and if there is a loose bale (one that broke and had to be rebaled) my 1010 often will not pick it up. When I am checking to see if all the bales are still on their side, I will throw one or two of these bales I have sometimes, in the pickup.

My 1010 came from an area where there are some hills. The second table has had an inch extension welded onto left and right edges. That helps, otherwise if you drive too fast on hilly ground the bales will slide far enough on the second table to deform any of the 8 bales on the second table that have slid out as they are loaded onto the rear table stack.
