Getting ready to start cutting silage and had put the Kemper on the 5830. Finished all the connections, greased and started it
up. The left hand knife rotor only spins as fast as the gathering drum.
How is this rotor driven?
On the right side I can hear a ticking sound when the engine is off, but can't see how the rotor is driven. Left side does't
have this ticking. I assume that is a drive lug/dog that is being overridden by the free spinning rotor, but can't see where
it's located.
Has worked fine last two years, broke setting in the shed on the trailer. TIA.
