yeah yeah, another what its worth question. Have one at auction tomorrow I want to look at. Think it would be sweet for a huge patch of sweet corn, pun intended. But, yeah. I am clueless about its worth. Whatever I am willing to pay for it, duh. But I mean, ball parkish what you guys think? I have zero idea. Could be $250 or an extreme golden standard of planters valued at $2,500. But seriously I could see myself going up to $550 on it?

It's "worth" whatever you are willing to pay. A 'real' farmer wont be interested. Food ploters and gardeners/sweetcorn growers are going to be your competition. They are usually a 'hot' item.I'll bet 550 wont buy it.You want/need it,buy it. The final bid will determine 'value'.He who says "I dont want to spend too much" usually comes home empty handed. Good luck!

I don't think the 5400 or 5100 were ever offered as a 2 row. If it is a cut down 5400 then you are going to need a BIG alternator to run the blower motors on the row units. Book says a 72 amp would work with our 4 row 5400, but takes a 130 amp to make it work RIGHT.

Are you sure it is an air planter, or maybe they just put the hoppers from a Plant-Aire onto a 543 mechanical row unit.
