International 27 baler

I know nothing about balers for the most part. Wouldn't mind haying a few acres though. Is this baler worth say $100? I have no idea how high it will go, but should I
even be thinking about it? The good? The bad? Of course I would probably want to check it out before bidding but that would be difficult as it's about 2 hours away.
Also does anyone on here have this model and could tell me the width measurement? I don't know if I would be able to get his home either.

Let it go...It's worth more than $100 as as scrap ironI'll bet it beats $500.That baler was made in fairly small numbers. If I'm not mistaken,I think it makse a smaller than normal bale. 12x14,or 12x16?That would make a very low capacity machine.Find a Deere or NewHolland (even a Massey) closer to home.

If you are not going into the hay business, the 27 isn't a bad little baler. They have a typical IH knotter, which has to be right to work well. The worst trouble I had with the one I had was a small set of plastic slides on the feed head and the feed needles. It may be a stretch trying to find them through CNH. You may want to look for a 14T or a New Holland first.....
