John Deere Elevator Model

We restored my
Fathers John Deere elevator.

We used it for ear corn and hay and straw.

One forum note called it a "bridge" style
Which appears to make sense.

Want help in identifying model and year.

The serial number plate had a single number
On it "3". Don't know if that's the production
Lot number or part of a model number. Appears to be pre-300
series as it does not have the ovals.

Reaching out to those in the know .

Thank you,

Robert

If you go to the DEERE parts site and do an "equipment search" for "elevator" here's the older items that are found....

If you then click on the various .pdf catalogs they'll download, and you can view drawings of each model at the start of the catalog, and many have some "years built" info, as well. Should be able to figure out what you have from there.

My elevator does have spoked wheels with rubber tires.

From the parts catalogue, it looks like either a Model 103
or Models 380 Series 3. How do I tell the difference ?

Thank you for the quidance.

My elevator does have spoked wheels on rubber.

Appears to be either a Model 103 or Model 380.

How do I distinguish the difference ?

I have some photos attached.

Thank you,

And by the way, the numbers you mentioned are the numbers for the various catalogs, not the model number of the machine. The "380" book is for your elevator. These particular elevators did not have model numbers. Mike

Mike,

Thank you so much .

The forums are helpful.

Appreciate learning more about the equipment.

Have good memories of hard work and being side by side with my dad. Hope to extend the same to my 3 and 5 year old boys.
