heston 5580 round baler

Hi there I have a 5580 heston round baler that I bought this year and I thought It was a good baler(it's in real nice shape) but when I went to bale this year It made three bales and since then it doesn't want to finish making the bale will get about half way through and the bale stops rolling. I thought maybe my hay was still a bit tough but my friend looked at it and thought it was too dry. So we hooked up my neighbors massey baler and it rolled up the rest no problem. I'm just wondering if anyone on here has run into this issue before and if so what was your solution. Thanks

If the belts stop turning maybe check the drive shafts for a sheared key way! Or what does it have for slip protection,
could be a slip clutch to weak?

Yup, sheared key someplace most likely. Get it loaded to the point it stops and then find the shaft that's not turning. THe other possibily is really stretched belts, but it seems unlikely tyou wouldn;t see that.

Belts are probably stretched you are supposed to store them in the
office season with the tension off of them. On the top of the machine
there is an adjustment a piece that has three holes in it that will
make a little more tension, otherwise might have to shorten the belts.
