Hesston PT-10 clogging on outer cutter bar

This past season, on the outer end of the cutting bar, hay is getting caught to the extent that it builds up and I have to stop and pull it out. Trying to find out if there is a small guard missing or what. I have a new 1 and a half section at the end. I noticed that there is an extra hole like maybe it should have a full double cutter section on the end. Stone guards all good, sections are very good. Happens in both 1st and 2nd cutting. Trying to find another one in the Lansing area to see what I am missing. Ideas? thanks.

My 1120 had a pressed steel piece bolted to the end of the machine that came down and kind of wrapped under the tip of the last guard so the hay didn't get stuck between the tip and the end of the machine. Is that on there?

+1 on rrlund's comment about the piece of sheet metal wrapping around the tip of the guard of the outer most guard on one end also and the inner most guard on the tongue end. On my ole Hesston 1120 that sheet metal had been bent and crudely welded up by previous ownership. Some creative grinding on the non-critical portion of the guard was the easy way to make it all fit and work like it should.

Also both ends of the sickle bar should be equipped with the section and a half sickle style knife. Having those on the ends greatly help plugging.

Thanks again to each of you. I do NOT have that piece. Will look up (thanks for the parts list) and see where I can get one. I'm not on here much, but the wealth of information is incredible. Thank you, wp
