Hay rake teeth

Where can a person get teeth for an old Deere steel wheeled hay rake from the late 40's-early 50's vintage? I need just a few but I haven't had much luck shopping on line for them. Thanks. Jim

Some TSC branches and Some Rural Kings in my area still stock that tooth. Other branches do not.

Otherwise any dealer that is set up to buy from A&I can get em for you. Search my posts. I have uploaded a link to the A&I rake tooth catalog on several occasions.

Thanks. I looked up the A&I catalog and found a tooth. I have to measure an old one off my rake before I order. I got three teeth that are claimed to be for Deere at the local Bomgaars but they aren't quite shaped the same as the ones on the rake, where the bolt goes through. Didn't have time this evening to check it out.

Very easy for me to get and probably cheaper than all the other places. Only 2 types of teeth on the JD rake, the type that fits over the bar that you have to take a bar out to change or the quick bolt on type. All the 4 bar 594 rakes and later 3 bar used the bolt on type. I know unless temporally out where I can get them they should be in stock as that is a very popular tooth. Only New Idea more popular with McCormick following. You should not have to measure as there is only one tooth for that rake. Your old ones are likely to be shorter as they do wear off and I have seen them wore over 2" off, If like that you need to replace them all, 64 teeth on that rake. Market price range acording to condition average $700 to top $1,000. Think last price I knew was around $2.50 per tooth but do not know what they are now. I have straightened a lot of them.
