Got an AC 2 bottom pull type breaking plow, No. 2 I beleive. I got it to trip and go down. Now it won't go back up. I havent taken the trip clutch apart yet. I never worked on one before. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Jack up and remove the wheel. take the clutch apart clean out the old dryed grease and dirt. Look for broken springs,rollers,pins....Also badly worn parts. You can figure it out,not rocket science.

I did this a couple times and agree that taking the wheel off and opening the clutch assembly to clean it out is a start. That spring can be stretched out too.

Yes it can be a couple of things. Like was said, take off the wheel. Ive only done this on IHC plows, so I don't know what differences there are in AC and IHC,

#1 Is the outside spring holding the trip handle tight enough that the plow isn't falling out of trip? It cant be so tight that you cant pull to trip it, and it cant be so loose that it falls out of being tripped.
#2 Take wheel off and clean out ALL the pockets of old grease buildup.
$3 Take a look at the 2 springs. If in doubt, replace them. They SHOULD keep the dogs tight, not slightly floppy.
#3 Take a look at the dogs, and clean out any buildup of grease around/behind them. The outside edges should be sharp enough to catch the wheel pockets. The insides should be rounded.
##4 Remember to regrease everything after reeassembly
