JD 467 baler

I have a JD 467 baler (mega wide), got it second hand. This past Sunday I baled a few from a small place about 4/5 miles from here. Baled the last bale ( about a 4 footer) dumped it and drove the tractor & baler home. Open the doors to oil the chains, the long one that runs the top roller was gone. Got in my truck went back over the same road, nothing, I guess someone picked it up.

Now to what I?ve found out. My 467 baler has 567 chains & sprockets, That makes my chains size 80 not 60 and of coarse the sprocket are heavier than the 467. Looks like I might have to shorten the chain going to the top roller. Does anyone know the length of the two chains or how much I need to take out.

I have an operators manual and I know, I need a service manual.

467 & 567 both utilized the same RC60 drive chains. You need 209 links of RC60 plus a coupler link unless previous owner converted your baler to RC80 chains . 468/568 & current larger balers have RC80 drive chains.

Well, I guess I have the 468 chains & sprockets. The farm store I ought these parts said they were for a 567. I baled my first bale three years ago so I'm still learning, by the way, I'm over 70 and still wanting to do things I've never done.
Thanks

The chain could still be in the field...If chain came off after the last bale was a certain size the top roller would turn without chain..So from where you dumped last bale, start looking back

I'm 71 & still learning also. Before you buy the chain check chain size number on the other chain on the double sprocket as those chains are the same number.

I agree that the chain could still be in last field baled as top belt roller can turn without chain powering the roller.
