Farm implement tires

Revisiting a well worn topic - tires for implements, mostly wagons, but lets also say semi mounted plow, transport disc, rakes, and so on.
If you did not use your implement hard and were looking to 'save a couple bucks" and go the used route, would you be on the lookout for tires in the following order:
Bottom of the food chain- used light truck tires. Is there anything "lower" than used truck tires that are serviceable for implements?
Next up - Used trailer tires. these are usually designated with an "ST" in front of them.
Next Up - used genuine implement tires
Top of food chain - used aircraft tires, if you ever see any (I don't).

Doesnt bother me a bit to use used car/light truck tires on implements. However it drives me 'bat$#!+' crazy to see used 'car' tires on a tractor

I do not run car/truck tires for a few reasons,,, one: like Delta, I just do not like anything but the correct ones ( just me) two: the sidewalls are not made to have dirt being thrown against them all day to wear on them so they will wear out sooner on some implements in the sidewalls long before the tread wears out (this was even more true when they made tires with some real rubber that lasted more than a few years in the sun) three: height is a big thing to me on a implement as I want it running level,,, if you have a matched set no problem here but not often do I see a matched set, other is weight,,, sure a 8 ply truck tire will handel the weight,, but try a light car tire and tow it down the road,,, well many do not have to equipment the size I use who want to use a car tire so no bigy,,,anyway rant over lol
cnt

ST trailer tires are lower on the food chain than LT truck tires, go on a rv forum and watch them bash ST tires.
For air craft tires check out Gensco Tires at www.noflats.com, they have used and new air craft tires with and without rims.
They also have rear tractor tires now, 14 -20 ply.

Used P rated or LT rated tires are perfectly fine so long as they aren't overloaded. Problem is sizes like 235/75R15 are hard to find.

I have used motorcycle tires on things like pull type plows. I also seen people use the doughnut automobile spare tires for front tractor tires.
