Hello ,
i am repairing a NH 273 baler i got this spring. I am new to baling but manage pretty well on repairs. The machine need a lot of love especially on the bearings department but the price was right and it does work (baled 180 bales on my first cut).

Right i am at repairing the pickup so that i can change the 2 main bearings that drives the tines bars. My problem is that i need to remove the driven sprocket so that i can reach the bearing behind it. It does not move at all. I used lubricant, crowbar, a small puller since i do not have a bigger one and it does not move at all. I do not have a set of torch but i could get somebody to come with one. Any suggestion would be welcome

for those that are visual the sprocket is #48901, i need to change the 2 bearings #47577195 as the one is completely gone

I replaced the bearings on the pick-up real last year. Your going to need to call your friend with the hot wrench then use the puller. Don't bugger up the end of the shaft. I had to cut what was left of the bearing off the shaft with a die grinder. Bought new bearings and keepers and mounting plates at my local bearing store, as the old bearing numbers were not available. Take some measurements from both ends so you get the shaft back in the correct position. BTW I have a NH 269, just assuming that the 273 pick-up is the same or very similar. Take your time, you'll get it. gobble
