Hi all,
I bought a used JD 146 loader for my 2030 and have wrestled it into place. I am looking for some info regarding hose routing. On the existing oil feed that runs along the 2030's rt side was a T in the metal line that was capped off. Not surprising the inlet hose that came on the loader is long enough to fit just swell there. Someone down the line of owners of this fine old iron did something odd with the return. There is not a return line going back to the tractor hydraulics. the line labeled "out" on the valve set loops back up to a double fitting adapter on the buckets down port. I will try to muster up enough net savvy to upload a picture. I am fairly certain this will not work as is, and is part of the issue that got such a good price from the previous owner that only had it briefly. He said it went up but would not come down and assumed it was a binding ram piston. They look straight, bright and clean to me. The 2030 was purchased with an oddity of pipe elbow's in what I am assuming is the hydraulic 1" I.D. rubber return line. I should be able to remove that, splice in a T filling and feed 1" return hose to the valve set, delete the odd short hose at the valve set and double fitting. Am I missing something? Quite new to farming but not things mechanical.
Regards,
Mike
