I recently found a sovema flail mower and started looking at it I need to replace a bearing is anyone familiar with this brand where can I get parts how do I go about changing out the bearing and should I replace the one behind the pulley as well

I've never heard of the brand, but I did a search.

They have a website: http://www.sovema.com/ENG/home.html

Under the "contacts" tab, they show a location in Memphis TN. The website lists an email address and phone number.

Under the "spare parts" tab they have parts diagrams and part numbers for a number of models of flail mowers.

I hope that this is of some help.

Edney Distributing appears to be a distributor of Sovema parts. I found their 2014 price list online

If you can find good quality generic bearings, they generally aren't too expensive. I would suggest replacing both bearings if they aren't terribly expensive and you can get to them.

If you can get the old bearing out, a good bearing supplier should be able to match the bearing by measuring it or seeing the number on the bearing. When in doubt, you might call Edneyco or Sovema and ask for the name of a stocking dealer.

Sovema seems to have some manuals online for free download.
