Hesston 540 rolls per hour?

Getting ready to start a big hay job. I've rolled some with last year, but only about 175 rolls and it was spread out. Kinda curious how many rolls I could do per hour?? 60 pto hp ford with an 8x2 trans...run mostly in 4th. I don't put a lot of twine on usually, im guessing it' probably takes about a minute to tie and dump. I'm hoping around 25 an hour...

I'm going to guess in real heavy hay/big windrows, 30 per hour is your max with a minute tie and dump, a minute to bale. The heaviest field I did with 4x4 baler seemed like more tie tying than baling, think that field was 27 or 28 in an hour

I have a 540, with hyd tie and bale ramps. I pull it with a JD 2510 diesel with a synchro. In good going, with full windrows and minimum turns The most I have evet gotten is about 28 in an hour. With most of my fields I would say I average about 20 an hour, but it depends on how many wraps you put on the bale. I start the bele in 2nd gear and then slip it into 5th once I go about 15 to 20 ft to get a good start on the core.
