Unidentified box blade - attaching scarifiers

Hello everyone. I recently acquired a 54-55" box blade of pretty heavy construction for my 8n that's been sitting for a long time. It came with a full set of scarifiers and the blade has 5 slots for them.
However, I'm not sure how to attach them. It doesn't have the standard ears to run a horizontal pin through. Instead, in front of each slot, there is a lip sticking out with a hole for a vertical pin. The
lips aren't very thick either. Any idea how someone is supposed to use teeth in this thing? Front square tube is closed on all 4 sides. I'd rather this not end in me welding badly. Thanks. Pictures
included for clarity.

I have an old box blade that the diggers attach in a bit of an odd way.
however, in all the years of use, I have never lost one, so someone must have know what they were doing as these tools take a beating most of the time.

the pins that drop in front of the diggers have holes at the bottom that a locking pin goes through so they cannot come out, but they are a bit of a pain to get to when you want to change positions of the diggers.

your tool might be made in this way, as it does not appear at first blush, that this is the proper way to attach the diggers.

That clears it up! Thanks a lot. It looks like it was made for this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOT-OF-5-BOX-BLADE-SHANK-F-PINS-KEEPS-SLOT-STYLE-SHANKS-IN-PLACE-/381266811523?hash=item58c545da83:g:0vsAAOSw~OdVXIyy

Now I need to decide if I want to trade my side pin style rippers, or slot them with an angle grinder...

I did not show that part of the digger attachment process,
Yes the diggers do have a number of slots cut in the back side, you raise/lower the digger to the desired height, then lock in the slot, then drop
in the locking pin and place the key in the pin,

The diggers are locked in good and solid, locking system has worked well for years,
