JD 467 baler

This is the second time I?ve had to loosen the top roller bolt (right side) to get net wrap out. Finally found the problem, the lacing on the splice had the end on the lace messed up. The splice had to be at a certain place to catch the net wrap and it would tear one end off the bale but not every bale. I?ve been looking inside and out for anything that could catch the wrap. Anyway, between the first time and this time I rounded the bolt off, torque at 250 according to the sticker on the machine. I do have new lacing on that belt now.

Couldn?t get a pipe wrench on, so I welded impact socket to it and about a six or seven foot cheater. I?m not very good at welding, so once I got it loose, I could turn it and weld all the way around the socket, now if there?s a next time, I don?t have to look for a socket and didn?t have to drive about twenty five miles one way for a green bolt.

Any defect in lacing or belt that reaches bottom tailgate roller the same time as netwrap leading edge can be caught by the belt defect and net pulled up to another roller causing rips in netwrap covering the bale or worse scenario no wrap on bale.
