Hey Randy - would you say the the 1875 baler I have would be considered an open throat baler or closed throat? Not sure of the differences as I have mostly been around large and small squares.
I do know that it can be hard to start a bale if the hay gets too dry. Have to have the rpm's less than 1500 for the first 20 or 30 feet so the bale starts and then can speed it up. Otherwise it won't feed and plugs the front up. Last night I had to finally just open the tail gate and pull what was messed up out and then finally got it started. It has bars welded on the rolls so not sure what the problem could be, but thinking about upgrading if I have to fight it this much. Thanks - Bob
