John Deere 14T Baler w/ different knotters

Hello,

I bought this John Deere 14T baler at auction and the knotters and measuring wheel do not look like the one in the manual or any I've seen online. It does not have the lever to manually trip the knotters and the measuring wheel looks a lot different and is in a different position. Does anyone recognize this or know how I might go about manually tripping the knotters? I want to test this thing out before I get in the field and figure out it doesn't work.

Another try....

That looks a lot like what I remember on my late uncle's 14T. Newer ones had a different mechanism. Study yours and you should be
able to figure out how it trips. Thinking round curved rod pushes against the part on the round canister in front of it.

They made a short bale attachment for when the 14T was used with a bale ejecter and it is very different from the standard trip. It has been a few years since I saw the two side by side to be able to tell the difference. Tom

Early 14 t mines the same way and you can trip by hand not sure got
look at mine but the round rod that's touching the knotter is off. It
has to be one the round part of the knotter that's how you can trip
it. There is some nice video on YouTube About running them and I think
you can change them to the other style.

Best to get 4 or 5 bales and do some rebaling. You can tell more about its tieing like that. Just make sure the safety spring underneath is working.

Trying to bump this to the top because I'm going to try this baby out this afternoon. Does anyone have suggestions on this knotter tripping mechanism? The guy a few posts up says that rod attached to the measuring wheel is off. Can anyone confirm that and if so how do I go about fixing it?
