help I D a plow

Visited a cousin last weekend that has a 2-16 (measured) trip plow on steel,it was in the barn when they bought the place, they thought it was JD because of some green paint. It didn't have the same type hitch most Deere plows do and there were no JD stampings. There are traces of green and red paint, I believe it may be a Case or Oliver plow there were some castings that began with W A xxx, there were the letters W X-16 stamped on the back of the moldboards, the rear wheel was steerable, it resembled a IH #8 but there were no P&O stampings or castings, there were other differences also as I have a #8 and am sure it isn't one. I remember Dad having a case on rubber (a 3 bottom ) that was green and flambeau red, not sure about Ollies. Any help much appreciated. kj

Pictures are worth a lot here, easy to identify castings or linkages, harder to figure out from a description.

Was it two levers for adjustment, or a lever and a crank? Oliver used a crank for a long period.

Hitch style simular to the IHC or Case? Oliver had a unique style with one single pull bar.

Sounds like a Case Centennial Model B plow to me. Most of those part #'s start with WA if I remember correctly, and would have had green paint. The hitch should resemble a hook, with a spring sticking out the back. Like was said, a picture would be a help though. Bob
