Antique Wheel Identification

I am in the process of working on two antique wheels and I'm curious about what farming implement they were removed from. I've narrowed it down to either McCormick (possibly a McCormick Big 4) or Oliver sickle mower. Unfortunately I only have the wheels to base my search on. There is what appears to be a serial or casting number on both wheels. The numbers are the exactly the same.

I have contacted the Wisconsin Historical Society but I haven't heard back from them yet. I am aware that this may end up being a dead end search but I'm willing to at least try to identify the implement that these two wheels were removed from.

The number on the wheel is MA 2530.

It seems as thought pictures didn't attach and I was not allowed to edit the post so I'll try posting the pictures later.

I'll help you out. I copied the URL of the images into the address bar and they came up, not sure why they didn't appear in your post.Might be the new user restriction.

Thank you, for doing that. I assumed that it was the new user restriction too after I looked at other topics about the pictures not showing up.

MA is McCormick designation in parts numbers. Not sure where my books are right now but if I had them I could tell you what model that wheel is off of. Could be No. 4, Big 4, No. 6, Big 6 or No. 9. No. 7 did not have place in hub for drive pauls or dogs.

So I was right on the McCormick assumption. I had ruled out John Deere because I know that the part designation on that brand is "M".

Hopefully the Wisconsin Historical Society calls me back tomorrow because they have the records on the original McCormick brand. Hopefully they'll have records that go back as far as this particular implement.

I think that wheel can date back to 1895 up to about 1926. If I knew where my parts books were I could look up that number.
