JD 7000 planter monitors

I have a 100 and a 300 planter monitor. Neither one will work. I have checked the sensors and connections. All are good. Apparently I need them repaired. Where is a good place to have that service done?
Thank you!
Don

JD dealer has a proprietary machine they can hook those up to and test them. Not all JD dealers will have the machine but check in an area where they service farm equipment. Most do not repair them but send them out. There are a couple places that do it, none are cheap...I had occasion to do what you are doing just in the past couple weeks. Guys here will get you referrals. I had to give up on my monitor and planted without it. It's a very reliable planter. Chances are if you test that it is planting in the morning you will have it planting at the end of the day. Just keep checking you don't run out of seed. If JD clears the monitor as good then check the sensors for light. After that the harness is likely the issue. Spent a lot of time on this last week. Wasted a lot of time on this last week.

If the monitor is not working, or you suspect that, at each end of the field, as you make the turn, glance at the previous pass....when the planter raises, a few seeds will be dropped on top of the ground. I keep a tooth brush in the planter tool box....extended handle with a small dia pipe- I reach into each sensor tube and brush the dust out. Red lights in the tube should be visible.
