I needed them 10ft 10in, 2 X 4in full length. Called a sawmill. They don't have them dryed at that length. Ill have to take them green cut. $12 ea.
Question. How bad will they warp If I put them right on and put a 2 X 4 spacer between each ends to hold the middle up/

IF I lay them flat, how long would it take for them to dry out.

Im also having one cut to 5/8ths thick for 3 pieces to replace boards on my corn binders elevator. There also 10ft long.

Standard length is whatever the sawmill decides. You may have to pay extra to have a sawmill cut you 11ft or 12ft 2X4's. The wood should be dried to 8% moisture before you use it. The wet lumber should be "stacked and stickered" where it can be kept dry from rain and still have air circulation between the boards to prevent warping.

A lot has to do with the type of wood you're going to use. Oak or Ash would not be as much of a warpage issue as some others might. If you need it right away you could put them in and the put a couple of props under them during the night till you were done.

Cat Guy, I thought of doing that. How long do you think id have to leave them in before I could use it?
