This baler has been working fine for over 10 years, but now belts won't stay straight.
Local dealer made repairs, but still have same problem.
Any ideas?

Belts crowd the tight. So maybe have a bearing down. Or is twisted a little. Read your book. Should be adjustment somewhere, like around the tongue. Also belts are supposed to be so long. We have shortned ours once. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply! All belts are new, or nearly new; and have been measured or adjusted to required length according to the manual. All bearings are OK. Not familiar with adjustment around the tongue. Will you describe what kind of adjustment? There has been rain on the cut hay, but previous years we let it dry, re-raked, then baled without much trouble. Estimate that this baler has made 20,000 bales. Could it just be worn out? Thanks, again!

Thanks for your reply! Will try adjusting the hydraulic pressure and will report results. Made sure belts meet manual specs. Using 10 wheel ground drive rake; have had lots of rain, so have raked, and re-raked - windrows are heavy. Happens all the time in East Texas. That's never caused a problem with the baler before this year. Thanks, again!
