How adjust 510 drill?

I borrowed an International 510 drill.

How do you adjust it?

I found the lever on the right side, front. It's set to 34.
I think I want to set it to 6. That's what the seeding chart calls for
I'm drilling Sudan Grass, says it should be 25 to 30 lbs per acre.

I loosened the nut on the lever, but I can't move the lever
Is there a trick to get the lever to move?

Any ideas?

Thank you

If it won't move, you might need to spray a penetrant on every cup. I've had to put a rod through the hole in the end of the frame and drive that square shaft with the rod and a big hammer to get it loose.

It's stuck/ siezed. As was said ,apply diesel fuel/penetrateing oil and start tapping.Wiggle the shaft with a 12" crescent. Just
work at it,it will loosen up.

If stuck, do not whack or pry on the lever!

You want to work directly on the square shaft, get it to move back and forth. On my older IHC drill, a Cresent wrench on the square shaft and
rotate it back and forth an 1/8 turn as I move the adjustment lever is all it takes. Make the square shaft wiggle some.

When you get it loose, make sure to readjust rate by pulling the lever to zero, then to the intended rate. You can bump up in rate by advancing the lever, but if you"re lowering the rate, go back to zero first- it takes up the looseness in the linkage, so the gates open properly, and according to the chart.
