Hesston 530 Round Baler

Just recently purchased a Hesston 530. Between the square and round bales I'm just trying to get in as much as I can especially with the rain we always seem to have. Between the square baler busting the bales and the 530 not wanting to work, I don't have the time to be a mechanic in the middle of a hay field.
One of the gear threads is completely rubbed down. It has a Carter key locking it in. But it has no way for me to just pull it out.
My Question is: how do I remove the Carter key and gear without tearing everything up?
The chains are already off. I just can't find any manuals on how to remove it.

Usually pry them out with a 'lady foot' type of pry bar. The keys are tapered. You may need to heat around them some if they have never been out. Sprockets are a much more expensive to replace than chain.

If you have some space on the shaft behind the
gear just take a hammer and knock the gear in.
That usually loosens the key so you can take it out.
Than use a gear puller and pull the gear off.
