1070 sickle drive

I run a 1090 haybine that I love and I've looked at a couple of 1070's to cut smaller fields. Both have had the sickle drive come apart at the lower end where it appears to do its orbiting. Any of you have experience with this? Is it a chronic problem or am I just attracted to junk?

your talking the lower shaft with the counter balance on it?

I had a 1071,,, and had to weld that housing back together and replace bearings acouple of times.

Same drive as your 1090. Have you had problems with yours? I have a 1070 that I love but I've only had it a year, so no problems with that so far. Did have to reseal and 're assemble because the PO had torn it all apart.
