hay wagon win

Some time back I was bemoaning the difficulty finding a good wagon for a good price. Well, it happened but ended even better than I could have hope and all because of good folks. Located 3 wagons w/in 14 miles. Went by and picked one. It was so nice and the price was so good, I didn't even haggle. I just shook hands and went off to get the Dodge and the cash. In the mean time, the owners decided 1 tire was too far gone so they swapped it out for a better tire. Even more surprising was the text I got while heading back. The father had decided to drop the price the day I went by and shook hands with one of his sons, so they cut 75$ off. Still really, really good folks out there.

When I bought my 886 I didn't bother trying to haggle. We both knew he was within value range and he was the original owner with 3100 hours on it. Those are the transactions everyone feels good about.

Those are great stories. There is a guy from Iowa that posts frequently on one of the other forums that says the best indicator of the fair market value of an item is when the buyer thinks he paid just a little too much and the seller thinks he sold for just a little less than he wanted to.
