Oliver Rooster comb plow

I'm trying to plow with my 1950 Case Dc and Oliver Rooster comb plow. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to operate the plow correctly.
The depth adjusting lever is something I don't understand exactly. Do you turn it clockwise or counter clockwise to make the plow, plow
deeper? Thank you for the help.

The only suggestion is to put it in the ground and plow. turn the crank/lever each way to find out. Setting a plow out of the ground(on concrete or gravel) is darn near impossible.

Counter -clockwise for deeper I believe.
If you watch the plow as you turn it, you should see it sink down.
Has yours got a tail wheel?
I have one I'd like to try but has no tail wheel at present.

An important point to get the plow into the ground, is the height of the tongue. If too high, it will pitch the plow on its nose.
The lower the tongue (within reason) pulls the back share into the ground.

Let us know how you get on with it.

Richard.
