Got it home

Took the Dakota over with the older Bro and pulled it backwards out of the weeds then out through the field. Pulled the lever and it all straightened out. 1 disc broke on the road but it was cracked when we started out. Used my amazing redneck tow hitch system. Just did a pass with the MF 65 and it did pretty good.

Pic after it went through the ground once. Kinda fun since it was the first time I've ever run any implement through the ground. Only ever graded and mowed before.

Now put some weights on the front gang. That's where the work starts. Once the front gang has the soil loosened the back gang can rip it apart.

Don't think you will like the sand bags, they will just get a hole in them and you will be spreading sand untill bag is empty. Need solid block.

Pulling a pull type disk down the road with a Nylon strap as a hitch, that's the kind of thing a DOT man has dreams about.Almost as good as the fellow I read about down in NC
that was pulling a trailer with barbed wire to keep it hooked up.

I bought a couple old running gears at an auction a few weeks back and someone had replaced the bottom piece of steel on the tongue where the pin goes through. Looks like they cut it with a cutting torch and not big enough to get a 3/4" hitch pin through. Didn't have any tools with me but was able to scrounge up a 3/8" carriage bolt with some big washers and 2 nuts out of my truck toolbox. I got it home but sure kept a close eye on it back there.
