Help identify antique seeder

Been in the shed for years and truer assembling it today. All parts have part numbers starting with "BD" followed by a number.
Couldn't identify it as a Rock Island plows implement.
Any ideas?

I'll post a couple more pics this week when I get a chance.
We more or less got it assembled as you see in the pic by finally guessing it was a pull behind
rather than a push seeder. It has pegs in the wheels that you can space out, which hit a mechanism which
pulls back a small trap door which allows the seed to fall as it rolls along.
Not working great though as the force needed to trip the spring in the mechanism is too strong and the wheel just drags along
the dirt. All parts are stamped "BD" and then a one or two digit number except the little spring arm which is stamped
with a different set of letters...so maybe it was a replacement from another seeder which just happened to fit perfectly.
Bit of a mystery where it came from.
