FINALLY - found the long lost SD card from our camcorder and here is a short video of the MF50 diesel and MF32 sickle mower cutting 1st cut hay from 2015.

Hope the Hesston 1110 cuts as good.

Looks good. I Know I was Happy when I got my #37 JD mower cutting good . And I Like you hope the NH 488 I got for this year works well.

The sickle mower haters are gonna tell you that can't happen!!! I LOVE mowing with my sickle mowers. I have little to no money invested in them, and I can come close to mowing the same acres as a 14 foot swather/haybine can in a day.

I like the sound of a well set up sickle mower! They can still do a lovely job as long as you keep the moles down.
(Caught 97 this spring up to now.)

Have a New Ideal Giant, (1909) and we cut the last few acres with it most years. Cuts fescue better than the newer mowers.

I never really though my MF32 did a very good job.
I rebuilt the bar, but it's had a hard life with me as the operator

I was telling a friend about how it still did not cut that well, he had cattle back in the day and cut many hundreds of ac of hay.

he ask if it was in register, I said "what you talking about"
he then said some call it time, mower must be in register or time to cut well
I got my manual out and checked out the "register section" told how to check it.
guess what, it was out,
I took it apart and got it back in register, should cut better next time I use it.

I have mowed with the sickle bar mower. Yours cuts really good. We have used a vicon disc mower for the last 13 years, love it but it is not good for the 3 pt arms. We just bought a 1120 Hesston, as my neighbor told me wear it out and then wear it out again. My FIL has a 1070 Hesston and I don't think you could pay him enough money to part with it.
