Corn Picker

Not the 33, but Dad had the previous model, no model number. On a 1947 WC...took about a day to mount, was underslung on the tractor, so little ground (mud) clearance. Steering tires would not turn as sharp, due to hitting the center snout. WC did not have live power. 33 was similar design, but had stripper plates, adjustable from the tractor seat. Suited more for the WD, with live power. They had two "husking" rolls per side, left a lot of husks on. They would be pathetic in today"s corn yields...4x what they were in the 50s.

What are they worth? Most pickers struggle today with the yields but I plant lower populations where I pick
