What number hay crimper will match to a number 11 JD hay mower? Would like in the same years if possible . just for shows

I told you wrong. After a bit of reserch I found out that it would be either a 21 crimper or a 31 crusher. The 21 or 31 hard to tell in a picture because of rolls, 21 has interlocking rolls whill the 31 are more of a crusher roll is pictured in the parts book with the 37 mower that followed yours by a few years. The 21 has if I remember correctly 15" wheels but it does have both rolls driven. The older first model had 12" wheels and only the large roll was driven and verry noisy because of that. It would not have been uncommon for the farmer to have had a No. 1 crimper and bought a new No. 11 mower and used them together. The No. 1 might still have been in production at the time the No. 11 mower came out. I think the No. 8, 9 and 11 were all produced at the same time but the books I was looking at do not give me that information, think the semi mount No. 8 and the 3 point No. 9 were built a couple of years before start of the trail type No. 11 and the No. 1 conditioner (but it did not actually have a model number) is dated in operators manuals that I have for same years as early 8 & 9 mowers. I have more books if I could find them that might give closser information. But for your planed usage either the orignal or a 21 or 31 I think should be correct. The 21 was the best conditioner that Deere ever made, went to a different roll with the 22 that did not do near the job the 21 did, think they were worried about loosing the red clover heads.

Trail type PTO mower. Can be cylinder lift and a hay conditioner hookup on back to pull both in operation at same time.
