New Holland Baler Identification Help Needed

I have an older New Holland baler and need to know the model so I can get a manual and get her going. The tag is gone. Two fellas from the New Holland dealership looked at it. One thought it might be a 68 (he also said "200 series?), the other just didn't know. Can you folks give me a positive ID? I can post more pictures if needed.

Thanks!

It"s newer than the 269 I had....decal is different, and I don"t believe the Super Sweep pickup (which it is) was an option on a 269. 269 pickup had sweeps (?) about 3 inches wide. I remember ads for the Super Sweep, and it might have been for a 271 or 273.

NOT a 271. A 271 is a 'taller' baler with the twine box up front, over the pickup.I dont remember about the pickup tooth spaceing. I owned one(271) once.

What you got there is either a 268 or a 269. It's a tell tale give away by the belt driven pickup drive. Most 268 machines have/had a short tongue, while the 269 machines generally had a longer tongue. I'm sure somebody will correct me here but other than that I believe they are identical machines.

The decals are just paint from an old re-paint, and what's left underneath doesn't match what you see. Sorry, should have mentioned that.

Not a 270 or 271. They are different than this.

It is nearby in timeframe, but not those.

you can go to your local dealer online, go to there parts book. You can see the parts and parts breakdown n parts numbers. There are many parts that interchange on those old balers.
