Lustran Planter Plate Repair

Has anyone had success "gluing" a cracked Lustran planter plate? If so, what type of adhesive?

Never fixed one, but 2 part epoxy works for a lot of things. The plates are fairly cheap on eBay, or you can get new ones from Lincoln Ag Products. Mark

I have ran them with one side cracked completely apart for long time without any problems. Does your plate have the little hole that only goes in a bit on the bottom or not. Real old plates did not have that but newer ones did, that is a wear guide and if it is about gone the plate is wore out and needs to be replaced as it is getting too thin.

If you are in corn and bean farming country, check out the oldest farmers still farming. Or see a seed dealer, or a guy who was a seed dealer....they will plenty of them...and for no cost as they were free to them in years past. Chances are they have a bunch of IH and JD plates hanging on nails in the barn or machine shed. Plates are so plentiful why fool with trying to fix one.

Other's advice is correct: Call Lincoln AG at 1-402-464-6367. You pay for what you get (a poor stand with broke equipment).
