White 271 disc

Looks pretty light to me

If it's like my Oliver, there are no 'problem areas'. A 4440 should have no problem with 20Ft. I pull 15 ft behind a Turbo 706.

It's a 'finish' disk,not a 'tillage' disk.I pull mine across corn stalks,level out 'water marks',as well as follow the plow. As I said,no problems.It's a good disk.

that pic isn't a 271, looks more like a 252/253, the 271's I have seen were all hyd. fold and built pretty heavy and have been told they cut good, a 4440 is going to know it's back there

That's what I was also told. I'll be using it to incorporate rye, cut up CRP before plowing it down, and corn stalks. Do they seem to be a descent finish disc?

It cut fairly good. We have alot of clay and it was a load on it. Think a 4440 would be perfect.

you were told wrong, it's not a 271, discs like the pic use a DS208tt7 bearing, make sure to have some spares on hand, you will need them, a 252 does finish ok

Ayup, White 252, Oliver 292, Ford 240, and probably others as well, all the same disc!
Pulled a 10 footer, 28 discs at 9" spacing, with a Ford 4000 SU for years! Dang fine disc for soil bed prep here in NH!
