Here is the planter I bought last summer,

Not many BTOs use dry fert. on a corn planter around here. I have dry fert. boxes on my 800 cyclo and apply 180# of 80-20-10 with the planter and spread another 200# of urea on top before planting. Some of the strip-till guys apply 4-500# under the row in the fall.

The one time I tried dry fertilizer on my 800 Cyclo was on a small field and it did not end well. The Cyclo is an outstanding planter that does an outstanding job when a person with enough experience can take the time to go thru it and get it tuned up to specs. I was not that person at that time. What I am saying is, I blame myself not the tool.

The JD 7000 was found only a few miles from home. I bought it because it matches my corn head with 6 rows. My IH had 8 rows and this was problematic. I think the JD is a nice planter and will do a good job for me. The Cyclo is still in the shed and I have no plans to sell it.

Send me some closeups of those packing wheel assemblies out front I think some 13 wave coulters I have will go in there easy peasy. How many bolts on what diameter circle? Or are they single bolt through the middle? What is their purpose?
