Haban Corn Sheller Questions

I picked up a 3 Point Hitch Haban corn sheller like this one pictured this weekend at auction. I was wondering if anyone had one of these for parts, I would like an owners manual and would love to find the double bagger elbow piece that allows you to switch between 2 bags when filling bags.

It looks like you have most of it-- the pipe, that is. Wouldn't be too hard to make the other part?

If the one you got is like pictured, I have another. Dad bought new in early 80's late 70's. No way would I ever try to bag off it. It shells so fast, even on the slowest setting, it would be a mess. We learned the hard way how fast it is. Corn has to free flow into the hopper, two shovellers can't keep it full. If the unit is not feed to near max intake it will put shelled corn out with the cobs to a certain degree. After we set it up for the slowest rate it would fill a Killbros 350 gravity wagon (about 200bu.) in 15 minutes! And takes very little power to do so.

How do you adjust the speed? Mine is the 3 point hitch one just like pictured. I was hoping to use it for popcorn. The screen seem to be ok size wise, but you have me a little worried about it blowing popcorn out the cob chute.

If I remember right the through-put speed was adjusted by the internal arrangement of parts, with additions/subtractions of pieces and their placement. It's been about 30 years I guess since we set ours up. (late 70's early 80's)

Hello Weel welcome to YT! I suppose you noticed that is a 2016 post. It looks like the last time a post was made by rustyjunk was in Jan. of 2019.
