I believe that your mower is a model 120 or maybe a 100

That is a 120 mower. I have one here...also a 100 and 115. Some of the IH literature calls all the balanced head mowers 100 mowers but I think what they actually mean is 100 SERIES mowers. I really like the mowers. They do a great job but make sure you get a lubrication chart. Some parts need very frequent greasing, others can be damaged by too much. It's a nice mower. Do some research before you use it.

More review of the pics...that is a pretty nice example. You need to see an IH dealer for the chrome button that fills that hole on the balanced head. The flexing bracket on there is for quick mounting and dismounting although I have yet to use a semi-mounted mower that was quick to put on and off. You have the cylinder and extra knives. Good find.

Like others said, that is an IH 120 balanced head mower. Here is what it looks like mounted on an H tractor. My dad bought it almost new, maybe 40+ years ago. It's been on this H for a least 35 years as it's not all that easy to take on & off. I still use it every year. Al

We had a new side mount balanced head on an M, really worked nice. I was mowing hay for a neighbor once, tall, thick first crop next to another farm, moron renter set a couple bee hives over the fence and I hit them first round, ouch.

Nice looking setup - we literally mowed thousands of acres with ours - one on an H like that and the other 100 series was mounted so it was used on our 240.

I have the same mower bolted to a fast hitch so I can use it on my 350. I wish I could find a flail like yours to put on mine.

120 balanced on My IH H that hasn't been off in 3 years. I had to replace the lower bearing in gearhead about ten years ago and after about 20 years it needed a new belt.
