replacing plow shares

Since I'm going to be replacing the shares on the old plow. Would you just replace with the regular HS shares,or get the deep suck ih shares that match the old ngp shares point? Will be modifying the attachment of the shares to work. Will the HS shares work fine or will the old style plow need the poin?

it depends a lot on your ground. If the ground is hard then the deep suck will stay in the ground better. If your ground is not hard plowing then the HS points will pull a little easier.

Ploworx bought tooling from the old Crescent Forge and has the shares for older IH plows and others .

I always used the deep suck shares on my JD plows. But several years ago JD no longer had the A10006 HS deep suck shares. All I can now get from JD are their A10005 regular shares. Anyone know if deep suck shares are still made by some after-market supplier? Thanks. Al

Abilne machine has an IH style deep suck.
