A friend of mine has acquired a stationary block hay baler. The only markings on it are part numbers. The large gears have Harrington Mfg. Co. Lewiston, N.C. I am trying to help him find some information about the baler. I will be looking for replies. Thanks The engine on it is a one cylinder Wisconsin. It can also be operated by a belt.

Can you post a pic?

Or search google for stationary baler, go to the images section, and look for one pictured the same as his......

May not be related, but Turner Manufacturing made stationary balers in NC. I don't know if there is any connection. I have a Turner sawmill also.

A little searching on Google showed that Harrington Manufacturing, in Lewiston, NC made peanut pickers and hay balers. I later years(post WWII), they made other peanut and tobacco equipment. Julian 'Monk' Harrington, the second generation to run the business, passed away in 2008, at age 89.

I live in the Piedmont region of NC. Lewiston is in the eastern part of the state.

Post some pictures if you can. We would all find them interesting.
